About Amber Roberts

Hello, My name is Amber Roberts and I am a 3D animator. My journey in animation started when I was young using windows paint and movie maker to create shorts then really took off in high school when I decided to challenge myself to create a short animation for a final project. From here I decided to look into animation as a career. I first went to Jones College (formally Jones County Junior College) for my associates in fine arts to learn the basics and give me more time to choose the best animation school for me and I later went to Savannah College of Art and Design for my Bachelors in Fine Arts in Animation. It was here that I was able to work as an animator and rigger on my very first student game, The Scion of Eldritch, a survival horror game. A couple years after graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design I decided to continue my education at the Academy of Art University. It was here where I would get the chance to work on my second student game. Kuri, a game about a cute chibi which whose was being bullied. Later I got to be apart of a wonderful project from the Think Round Group where I helped create a virtual nature exhibit by 3D modeling plants. I spent my final year at the Academy working on my Thesis project showcasing game animations and then implementing the animations into a game level since I learned from my experiences on the other games that you never truly know if the animations are good until you see them in game. Now that I have graduated with my Master's of Fine Arts in Animation from the Academy I'm looking forward to putting my skills to use and making learning new skills as the animation industry advances and new techniques and software become available.
